  • As an organisation and as individuals organising on unceded, stolen Lands; we recognise and acknowledge the Land we stand on, that we work on and that we live on are the Traditional and Sovereign Kaurna Lands, belonging to the Kaurna Peoples.

SASH was founded by First Nations and Non-Indigenous women and together, we make the esteemed commitment to; respect the spiritual and physical connection Kaurna Peoples have to the this Country, to their Country - and with every decision we make and with every action we take that we will hold this understanding with the highest of priorities.

We pay our and respects to Elders past and present. We recognise and acknowledge the Kaurna People as the Traditional and Rightful Custodians and Owners of the so-called ‘adelaide’ region. We deeply respect their on-going Cultural Heritage, Lore and Knowledge and understand they are principle to Kaurna Peoples living today. We also pay our respects and acknowledgment to the Cultural Authority of other Aboriginal people visiting Kaurna Lands.

We as an organisation will strive at every moment to ensure we prioritise the lives, voices and issues First Nations peoples within all of our work. We commit to be accountable at all times to this promise.

    Always Was, Always Will be.
