The trade union that represents strippers in Australia is Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance (MEAA).

Unions play an important role in the workplace and in assisting workers operating in Australia. All employers, employees and independent contractors are free to become, or not to become, members of an industrial association, such as a trade union or employer association. In addition, all employers, employees and independent contractors are entitled to engage or not engage in what are called ‘industrial activities(source: Fair Work Ombudsman - Page reference No: 2416).

Fair Work Ombudsman.

A stripper is entitled to the same rights as any other worker under the Fair Work Act 2009. In accordance with the Fair Work Act, key functions of the Fair Work Ombudsman is to provide advice, education and guidance, monitor compliance within workplace laws, as well as investigate breaches of the Fair Work Act and take appropriate enforcement action (source: Fair Work Ombudsman website 2021).
